Further information

Wind sensor / wind direction sensor / anemometer

Anemometers are measuring instruments used to measure various wind parameters. In general, these are wind speed sensors for measuring wind speed, also known as anemometers , and wind direction sensors, which measure the direction from which the wind is blowing.

Wind sensors use different technologies to record the various wind parameters. For example, there are wind speed sensors with cup anemometers (cup anemometers) or wind sensors that utilize thermal effects (hot-wire anemometers).

Ultrasonic anemometers are also used. In contrast to thermal wind measurement or wind measurement using cup star technology, the wind speed is measured using ultrasonic transit time measurement.

Combined wind sensors

With combined wind transmitters and wind sensors, the wind direction is either measured automatically by the measuring principle used or recorded via a wind vane and output as a measured value.

LAMBRECHT meteo offers a wide range of different wind sensors and anemometers to meet all the requirements of morn and reliable measurement technology.
