Product advantages

The first of its kind with amazing resolution and precision

rain[e] is a new type of precipitation sensor: maximum resolution combined with a very compact design. The unique self-emptying collection system enables every single drop to be measured. The rain[e] can be operated all year round without antifreeze, making it particularly environmentally friendly.

rain[e] is easy to lift, transport, install, and maintain. Its small pack volume and low weight ensure minimal logistical effort. The rain[e] series is compatible with data loggers from OTT and Campbell Scientific and is ideal for setting up and expanding precipitation measurement networks.

  • Amazing resolution and precision
  • Verification of precipitation sensors with tipping bucket and other weighing systems
  • Compact and robust design with very low weight
  • All-metal housing, weatherproof and durable
  • Best connectivity thanks to a wide range of interfaces
  • Easy installation and maintenance
  • Also with Modbus or customer-specific protocols

Tretyakov-Style Wind Shield for precipitation sensors

A Tretyakov-style wind shield surrounds a precipitation sensor to block approaching winds. The funnel-shaped design ensures excess wind is directed toward the ground, reducing the speed of winds in the direct vicinity of the sensor.

The wind shield ring is equipped with vertical stainless steel lamellas arranged in a circle with the bottoms coming together in a slightly conical fashion. The lamellas are connected to each other with a chain, and can be moved horizontally to create directional protection.

The Tretjakov wind shield consists of a frame, metal segments, and accessories for quick and easy installation.

  • Different measuring heights for all common precipitation sensors<
  • Durable and solid due to corrosion-resistant V4A stainless steel
  • Simple and quick installation
