Positive events in the form of sunshine cause the three identical sensor elements to react quickly. The elements themselves are completely immobile and guarantee virtually maintenance-free operation, extreme robustness, and a very long service life. Aligned with the nearest pole, the sensor is easy to install at all latitudes. In ice and snow, the integrated two-stage heating is controlled externally or by a built-in thermostat. The number of hours of sunshine per day is crucial for both plant growth and human well-being.
