Product advantages

The first of its kind with amazing resolution and precision

rain[e] is a new type of precipitation sensor: maximum resolution combined with a very compact design. The unique self-emptying collection system enables every single drop to be measured. The rain[e] can be operated all year round without antifreeze, making it particularly environmentally friendly.

rain[e] is easy to lift, transport, install, and maintain. Its small pack volume and low weight ensure minimal logistical effort. The rain[e] series is compatible with data loggers from OTT and Campbell Scientific and is ideal for setting up and expanding precipitation measurement networks.

  • Amazing resolution and precision
  • Verification of precipitation sensors with tipping bucket and other weighing systems
  • Compact and robust design with very low weight
  • All-metal housing, weatherproof and durable
  • Best connectivity thanks to a wide range of interfaces
  • Easy installation and maintenance
  • Also with Modbus or customer-specific protocols

Windbreak according to Tretyakov

Windshield according to Tretjakov for precipitation sensors

A Tretyakov windshield surrounds a precipitation sensor to attenuate oncoming wind. The funnel-shaped design ensures that the flow field is deflected toward the ground, reducing wind speed in the immediate vicinity of the sensor.

The wind protection ring is equipped with vertical stainless steel slats arranged in a circle, the undersides of which converge slightly conically. The slats are connected to each other by a chain and can be moved horizontally to ensure good aerodynamic properties.

The Tretjakov windbreak consists of a frame, metal slats, and accessories for quick and easy installation.

  • Different measuring heights for all common precipitation sensors
  • Durable and robust thanks to corrosion-resistant V4A stainless steel
  • Quick and easy installation
