Product advantages
Ice load measurement up to 20 kg
Reliable detection of icing, proactive handling of risks and failures
Ice load refers to the weight of the ice build-up on objects such as buildings, overhead power lines, wind turbines and vegetation. In freezing rain and hoar frost, the ice load can reach problematic and damaging levels, especially if the wind load is also increased by rising winds. Monitoring the ice load enables early warning of impending icing and increases the safety of the energy supply. The IceLoad sensor uses the gravimetric measuring principle, just like our world-famous weighing rain[e] precipitation sensor. Its ice load measuring probe can calculate a maximum load of up to 20 kg.
- Standardized according to ISO 12494, meets the European standard for accurate measurement of ice load
- Highest accuracy and a wide measuring range in a compact, lightweight device
- Full year-round functionality in an environmentally friendly, antifreeze-free housing
