According to Piche, the water-level indicator is read on the glass tube. This method is easily applied inside buildings as well as in the open field. Realistic measuring conditions are created in the evaporation pan. Therefore, level measurement by hook gauge in the still well is the most commonly, best tested and most accurate measuring principle.
